Threading & Brow Training Sydney

Learn professional threading and eyebrow shaping with practical, hands-on training at Kaya Academy in Harris Park, Parramatta. Whether you are starting from the beginning or already know how to thread and want to improve your brow shaping, we have two training options to suit your experience.

Our approach is simple: learn the foundation you need, spend your clinic time practising, and develop the judgement to work more confidently with real clients. Training is guided by an experienced practising beauty therapist, with attention to technique, hygiene, client comfort and the small details that make a difference to your work.

Choose the Right Course for You

You do not need to pay for training you already know. Choose the option that matches your current skill level.

Option 1: Advanced Eyebrow Shaping & Refinement — $399

For students who already know how to thread.

If you can already remove eyebrow hair with thread but feel unsure about shaping, mapping or creating a balanced result, this workshop is designed for you. We focus on improving your brow judgement and technique rather than teaching basic thread control again.

Training format: Approximately 3–5 hours of home study plus approximately 5 hours of practical training in clinic.

What you will learn:

• Understanding natural brow growth and facial features
• Simple, practical eyebrow mapping
• Identifying where the brow should begin, arch and finish
• Working with natural brow asymmetry
• Deciding which hairs to remove and which to leave
• Avoiding over-thinning and unnecessary reshaping
• Working with sparse or previously over-shaped brows
• Improving precision, finishing and client consultation
• Practical correction and guidance for continued improvement

Important: This is not a beginner threading course. You should already be able to hold, control and use thread to remove eyebrow hair. If you have never threaded before, the Complete Threading & Brow Foundations course is the appropriate starting point.

Option 2: Complete Threading & Brow Foundations — $699

For complete beginners.

If you have never threaded before, this course teaches you the foundation from the beginning. You will learn how to hold and control the thread before moving into facial threading and basic eyebrow shaping.

Training format: One day of guided home theory plus approximately 1½ days of practical training in clinic.

What you will learn:

• Professional consultation and treatment suitability
• Hygiene, sanitation and treatment preparation
• Correct thread preparation and handling
• Hand positioning, movement and thread tension
• Developing accuracy and control before speed
• Skin stretching, support and client positioning
• Upper-lip, chin, forehead and facial threading foundations
• Working with different facial hair-growth patterns
• Basic eyebrow threading and natural brow clean-up
• Avoiding common beginner mistakes
• Aftercare and guidance for continued practice

The course introduces foundation brow shaping, but it does not promise advanced brow design or corrective reshaping in a beginner’s first practical training. Those skills require further practice and can be developed through our Advanced Eyebrow Shaping & Refinement Workshop.

What Is the Difference Between the Two Courses?

The $399 workshop is for someone who already has thread control and wants to improve how they shape eyebrows. The $699 course is for someone who needs to learn threading from the beginning, including facial threading and foundation brow shaping.

If you already know threading, you do not need to repeat the complete beginner course. If you are a beginner, learning advanced brow shaping before you can control the thread would not be the right use of your training time.

How Kaya Academy Training Works

Where home study is included, you complete the relevant theory before your practical training. This allows clinic time to focus on demonstration, supervised practice, technique and individual correction rather than spending the whole day reading theory.

Training takes place in a real beauty clinic in Harris Park, Parramatta. You will learn from a practising therapist who understands how threading works with real clients, including different hair-growth patterns, sensitive skin, client expectations and the importance of working carefully.

The aim is to help you leave with a clearer understanding of your technique and a realistic plan for continued practice. Speed, consistency and confidence develop through repeated hands-on experience after training.

Materials, Models & Certificate

Professional threading materials and equipment required during practical training are supplied by Kaya Academy. The Complete Threading & Brow Foundations course includes a take-home threading kit to support continued practice.

Suitable models are arranged where required. A small model fee may apply, and any applicable arrangements or additional costs will be explained before your training is confirmed.

Students who successfully complete the required training components receive a Kaya Academy Certificate of Completion. The certificate records the training completed; it is not, by itself, a nationally recognised qualification or a guarantee of employment, licensing or insurance eligibility.

Can You Use Threading as a Paid Service?

Threading can become an additional service in a salon, home studio or future beauty business once you have developed suitable competence and met any applicable business, insurance and local requirements.

For example, if you charge $25 for an eyebrow service and complete four similar services in a week, that would be $100 in gross service sales. Four similar weeks would produce $400 gross before expenses. This is simply an educational example to help you understand how a small service may contribute to a business.

Actual pricing, bookings and income depend on your skill, location, demand, marketing, expenses and other factors. Kaya Academy does not guarantee clients, employment or a particular income.

Course Fees & Enrolment

Advanced Eyebrow Shaping & Refinement: $399.

Complete Threading & Brow Foundations: $699.

Choose the training option that matches your experience and complete your enrolment through the checkout on this page. Full payment is required to confirm your place. An enquiry or partial payment does not reserve a seat.

Group training dates proceed once the required minimum of six fully paid students has been confirmed. Your training date, preparation requirements and applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms will be explained before payment. If a group intake cannot proceed as planned, Kaya Academy will contact enrolled students about the available options, subject to the applicable course terms and Australian Consumer Law.

Private one-on-one training is also available and is priced separately.
