Recommended starting point
Scalp & Hair Assessment
Visible thinning can have more than one cause. We begin with the scalp, visible density pattern and relevant history before choosing a cosmetic treatment pathway.
- Closer look at scalp condition and density
- A considered starting pathway
- Referral guidance if medical assessment may help

Essential Exosome Scalp Renewal
A five-session advanced cosmetic scalp pathway considered after assessment and according to individual suitability.
Recommended starting point
Hair Fall Review
Increased shedding is not automatically the same as progressive thinning. We first look at when it began, how it presents and what may have changed before it started.
- Sudden versus gradual shedding
- Whether thinning is happening as well
- Knowing when medical investigation should come first

Review the shedding pattern, scalp condition, visible density and relevant history before deciding whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate.
Microneedling + Peptide Infusion
A cosmetic scalp pathway that may be considered when the scalp is suitable and the assessment supports growth-focused care.
Medical Assessment First
Sudden heavy shedding, patchy loss or signs suggesting hormonal, nutritional or other medical contributors may need further assessment first.
Recommended starting point
Scalp Condition Check
Oiliness, buildup, flaking, dryness and irritation can change what the scalp needs. Growth-focused treatment may need to wait until the scalp is suitable.
- Oil, buildup, flakes and sensitivity
- Current washing and scalp routine
- Whether scalp care should come first

Scalp & Home Routine Support
Guidance may focus first on cleansing, product use and a more suitable home scalp routine before advanced stimulation.
Growth Support After Scalp Care
If thinning is also present, microneedling, peptides or other cosmetic scalp support may be considered once the scalp is suitable.
Recommended starting point
Smoothing Consultation
Frizz is a hair-shaft concern rather than automatically a hair-growth problem. We look at texture, condition, chemical history and the finish you want.
- Current texture and frizz
- Colour, bleach and smoothing history
- The level of smoothing or straightening you want
Compare relevant options
Swipe across on mobileNanoplasty

Japanese Smoothing

Recommended starting point
Hair Condition Check
Dry hair and damaged hair are not always the same. Kaya checks porosity, breakage, chemical history and current strength before choosing treatment.
- Dryness versus structural damage
- Avoiding unsuitable chemical overlap
- Choosing moisture, conditioning or repair-focused care

The free check is designed to guide the next step. Some concerns may be suitable for direct booking. Thinning, shedding or scalp concerns may need a more detailed in-clinic assessment first.
Detailed assessment only when needed
If a closer assessment is recommended, we review the scalp, visible density, hair condition and relevant history before discussing a treatment course. Medical assessment may be suggested where appropriate.
Why a program?
Hair-growth support is usually more than one appointment.
When a growth-support pathway is suitable, the aim is not to sell a one-off treatment. Hair and scalp changes need time to support, review and adjust.
Different concerns need different starting points. A client with sudden shedding may need something very different from someone with gradual thinning, while an irritated scalp may need attention before stimulation. That is why the pathway comes before the package.
Understand the concern
Separate shedding, progressive thinning, scalp imbalance and breakage rather than treating everything as the same hair-loss problem.
Use a structured course
Suitable clients may be guided towards a multi-session scalp pathway rather than expecting one treatment to create a meaningful hair-growth outcome.
Review honestly
Progress and scalp tolerance are reviewed. If the concern needs medical assessment or a different direction, the plan should change rather than simply adding more treatment.
The Kaya approach
Look closely. Choose carefully. Review honestly.
Hair and scalp care should start with understanding—not simply choosing a treatment from a menu.
Look closely
Consider the scalp, visible density, hair condition, treatment history and what has recently changed.
Choose carefully
Select care for the concern in front of us—from scalp preparation or growth-focused support to conditioning and smoothing.
Review honestly
Hair and scalp needs can change. Kaya reviews progress, adjusts care where appropriate and keeps expectations realistic.
Hair & scalp questions
Before you choose a treatment.
The aim is to make the next step clearer without pretending every hair concern has the same answer.
What is the difference between the free online check and a detailed assessment?
The complimentary online check is a preliminary review of the information and photos you submit. It helps us guide the next step. A detailed Hair & Scalp Assessment is more appropriate when thinning, shedding or scalp concerns need closer in-person review before treatment is selected.
Is the online check a diagnosis?
No. Kaya provides cosmetic hair and scalp care. The online check does not diagnose hormonal, nutritional, genetic, autoimmune or other medical causes of hair loss and does not replace medical assessment.
Will one hair-growth treatment be enough?
Hair-growth support is generally approached as a structured course rather than a one-off appointment. The appropriate number of sessions depends on the concern, scalp condition, treatment selected and individual suitability. Results cannot be guaranteed.
Can my detailed consultation fee go towards a program?
Yes. If a detailed Hair & Scalp Assessment is recommended and you proceed with an eligible multi-session Kaya Hair & Scalp Program, the consultation fee is credited towards that program.
When might medical assessment come first?
Sudden heavy shedding, round or patchy loss, significant pain or inflammation, shiny or scar-like areas, or a history suggesting hormonal, nutritional, medication-related or other medical contributors may need assessment by a GP, dermatologist or another appropriate health professional.
Can damaged hair look like hair loss?
Yes. Breakage through the hair shaft can make the hair look less full even when the follicle is not the main problem. That is why the pathway separates shedding and thinning from damaged hair and frizz.
