Hair Fall Is Not Always a Shampoo Problem

Oils, shampoos and supplements may support hair care, but they cannot
correct every reason behind ongoing shedding or thinning. The first
step is understanding whether the concern begins with the scalp, the
hair itself, internal factors—or a combination of these.

Many people keep changing products because they assume hair fall
means their shampoo is wrong. However, the real cause may have very
little to do with the bottle in the shower.

Hair shedding and thinning can be influenced by stress, hormonal
changes, genetics, illness, nutritional deficiencies, medication,
pregnancy, inflammation, scalp imbalance, chemical processing and
repeated tension on the hair.

A product may improve dryness, softness or scalp comfort. However,
it cannot diagnose or correct every internal or follicular cause of
hair loss.

Kaya’s approach: We do not begin by guessing which
product or treatment you need. We first look at the visible scalp
condition, hair density, shedding history and factors that may need
further medical investigation.

Beyond the Bottle

Why Shampoo, Oil or Supplements May Not Be Enough

These products can still have a place in a complete routine. The
problem begins when they are expected to correct something they
cannot reach or identify.

01

Shampoo mainly works on the scalp surface

A suitable shampoo can help with oil, buildup, flaking and scalp
hygiene. However, it cannot correct genetic hair loss, hormonal
changes, low iron or other internal causes.

02

Oil does not automatically stimulate new growth

Oil may reduce friction and improve the feel of dry hair. On an
oily, inflamed or buildup-prone scalp, heavy oiling may sometimes
make the scalp feel more congested or uncomfortable.

03

Supplements only help when they address a real need

Taking random supplements does not confirm whether a deficiency is
present. Iron, vitamin D, thyroid, hormonal and other concerns
should be discussed with an appropriate health professional.

04

Hair breakage can look like hair fall

Bleaching, heat styling, chemical services, tight hairstyles and
mechanical damage may cause the hair shaft to break even when the
follicle is still producing hair.

Know the Difference

Hair Shedding, Hair Thinning and Hair Breakage Are Not the Same

Understanding what you are seeing can change what should happen next.

  • Hair shedding: more complete strands are falling
    from the scalp than usual.
  • Hair thinning: density or volume gradually appears
reduced, or the parting looks wider.
  • Hair breakage: the hair shaft snaps at different
lengths due to weakness or damage.
  • Scalp imbalance: itching, oiliness, flaking,
sensitivity, buildup or discomfort may be present alongside hair
    fall.

More than one concern can exist at the same time. For example, a
client may have internal shedding as well as scalp buildup and
chemically damaged hair.

The First Step

What Can a Professional Scalp Analysis Show?

At Kaya Beauty Clinic, scalp imaging helps us take a closer look at
the visible condition of the scalp and hair. Depending on what can be
seen, we may assess:

  • Visible scalp buildup and congestion
  • Dryness, flaking or excess surface oil
  • Signs of scalp sensitivity or irritation
  • Visible differences in hair density
  • Hair-shaft condition and breakage
  • The areas where thinning appears most noticeable

A scalp analysis is a cosmetic assessment. It does not diagnose
genetic, hormonal, autoimmune, nutritional or medical causes of
hair loss.

If the shedding is sudden, severe, patchy or associated with other
health changes, we may recommend speaking with a GP, dermatologist or
another appropriate health professional before or alongside cosmetic
scalp treatment.

Treatment Selection

Which Hair and Scalp Treatments May Be Considered?

Treatment is selected according to the visible scalp condition,
history and suitability. Not every client needs every treatment, and
stronger treatment is not automatically better.

Scalp Bio Reset

A scalp-cleansing and conditioning approach that may be selected
when buildup, excess oil or scalp imbalance needs attention before
more advanced support.

Hair Mesotherapy

A targeted professional scalp treatment designed to deliver
selected hair-supportive ingredients into the treatment area.
Suitability, ingredients, expected response and aftercare are
discussed before treatment.

Microneedling With Peptide Infusion

Controlled micro-channelling may be used with selected professional
peptide formulations to support the scalp environment and
healthier-looking hair density when suitable.

Exosome Hair Treatment

An advanced scalp-support option that may be considered for selected
clients as part of a planned program. Product selection, suitability
and realistic expectations are discussed during consultation.

Low-Level Light Support

Light-based scalp support may be included as part of a broader
program, depending on the scalp condition and treatment goal.

Hair and Scalp Home Care

Home care may include appropriate cleansing, scalp conditioning and
hair-protection advice. Recommendations are based on what the scalp
and hair need—not whichever product is currently trending.

Realistic Expectations

How Long Does It Take to Notice a Change?

Hair grows in cycles, so meaningful changes cannot be judged after
one treatment or one week. Some clients may first notice an
improvement in scalp comfort, oil balance or shedding. Changes in
visible density generally require a longer period of consistent care.

Response depends on the cause and duration of the concern, follicle
activity, general health, treatment consistency, home care and the
individual hair-growth cycle. Results cannot be guaranteed.

“A hair-growth treatment can support the scalp, but it cannot replace
the need to understand why the hair is changing.”

Know When to Refer

When Should Hair Fall Be Medically Assessed?

Consider speaking with a GP or dermatologist if you notice:

  • Sudden or severe hair shedding
  • Clearly defined patches of hair loss
  • Scalp sores, bleeding, pain or significant inflammation
  • Hair fall following illness or a new medication
  • Symptoms that may suggest a hormonal or nutritional concern
  • Progressive thinning that continues despite appropriate care

Cosmetic scalp treatment and medical assessment do not need to
compete with each other. In some cases, they may form different parts
of a more complete approach.
